Dear Fellow Ford Fans,
It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to M199. My family welcomed her into our lives this Sunday, December 5th and what a day it was! Although the wait was long and the day was cold, damp and overcast, it ended up being, quite honestly, one of the most memorable days of my life. I invited a handful of family members and close friends to celebrate with us and they were all blown away.
Like many other forum members, we selected Kevin Koshkarian and Pat Milliken Ford as our delivery dealer and boy was this the right choice! Kevin is a kind-hearted, down to earth, true car guy who bleeds Ford blue and he went out of his way to make the event special and memorable. We can’t say enough good things about Kevin and Pat Milliken.
As for M199’s details, my wife and I decided on a Carbon Series and went with the Competition Orange accent package. But to really spice things up, we decided to upgrade the interior and went with Launch Control because we liked how the orange in the interior would play off the orange accents on the outside. I have to say that it was a decision we were nervous about but it paid off big time and it’s one of our favorite features of the car. It looks absolutely perfect!
One of the best decisions we made was to have the car delivered to Kevin in Michigan and have it wrapped prior to delivery. Kevin’s PPF installer has wrapped more GTs than anyone else and does an exceptional job. He also arranged to have Clearplex installed. Although some warned me that I wouldn’t be able to wait while the car sat in Michigan waiting for the paint to cure, PPF and Clearplex to be installed and then to schedule final delivery, I think this was another really good decision because we were able to drive it immediately and give a few lucky folks the ride of their lives—so cool! Thank you again Kevin!
Now for the special thanks...
We owe thanks to A LOT of people but there are a few that deserve special recognition. First and foremost, my wife Jen, for agreeing to go along with this crazy idea and pursue my dream of owning such an iconic car. It was great to see how excited she was come delivery morning. Next, I have to thank @Ed Sims and his wife Heidi for their friendship and support. If it weren’t for Ed, we wouldn’t have even applied for the car in the first place so thank you Ed for pushing me and keeping my dream alive!
I also want to thank @dbk for everything that he has done for this community and for sharing his passion for Ford products with us. Had I never stumbled across this forum and the Ford GT community, I wouldn’t have had the chance to meet all of you and I certainly wouldn’t have considered applying. We appreciate you more than you know!
Thank you again to Kevin Koshkarian for treating us like family and going out of his way to make this purchasing and delivery processes so downright special. I owe you big time for all you did for us and whenever anyone on this forum considers buying another Ford product, they should call Kevin at @Pat Milliken Ford and give him a shot at your business—you won’t be disappointed!
Our GT delivery specialist, Claude, gave us an exceptional orientation. He's also one of the nicest, warmest people you could meet—a true wealth of knowledge and such a gentlemen. Thank you Claude!
Our GT concierge, Megan, was patient, kind and supportive throughout the ordering process and always made us feel like we were making the right decision.
I was also fortunate enough to share the application and ordering process with a number of other forum members which added to the experience. @BtwoG, @canibl, @Triheart7, @SYCO GT and @Dave Hellinge were some of the many that inquired, encouraged and gave advice along the way. Thank you!
