I am in the market to buy a Ford GT Red/White Stripes having less than 3,000miles on it. I have a 1968 Shelby GT 350 Convertible that I would like to use as a trade that is very well documented. It has gone through an extensive rotisserie restoration and has won many shows. This Shelby is a true #1 car . It is red with a black interior and has power black top folding rear glass. I have driven it less than 100 miles since the restoration. I am intersted in trading it in on a Ford GT to avoid dealing with the tire kickers and saving on the sales tax. If anyone is intersted give me a call at 903-570-4247. I can email photos.
Thanks,

What did you trade in and how did it work out for you?

I traded in a '68 KR fastback that I had not finished putting back together. The engine & trans were out of the car. A local Ford dealer had wanted the car for a long time and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. We mutually agreed not to disclose the details of the deal. But I can tell you that I am into the GT for about what a new F-250 Super Duty 4x4 costs. I had the KR for about 20 years and really did not have much invested in it. I did drive the old Shelby a few weeks ago after they got it back together and I realized that I had made the right decision for me.

Ditto, Also did the same, selling a 70 GT350 plus $. I still have my 66 Hertz and 67 350 vintage racer project. But in the end the GT is much more fun. I love looking at the old cars, but I don't enjoy driving them as much anymore.

I have had a couple people call that they make their living on putting together car deals. They are working on it. I took some good pictures of the 68 Shelby this weekend. I might put it on ebay to see what might happen. Everyone spread the word I would like to join the web site as a owner instead of a guest. Thanks for everyone's help.

Hmm, '68 350 vert is one of the rarer production Shelby mustangs.

Might want to check unsold dealer inventory and get in touch with the dealership owners, ya never know :thumbsup
