Yes, it's that rough...it runs cool now since I've done headers and pipes...so no issue there, but it's still everything I said it was in my previous post. It's like driving a Cobra...
I got into a flame war with a guy on the Porsche Forum and he referred to my 99 GTS ACR as a Clown Shoe. I was devastated and never looked at the car the same way again.
You're worried about what a VW Beetle on steroid guy said about your Viper, if your Viper is a clown shoe, at least it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner Porsche. Vipers are just cool cars, yes Dodge made a faux pas here and there (not enough horses, not enough exterior changes and a beating by a 5 year old ZR1), nevertheless it's still a cool car and no true car enthusiast wants the brand to die, so hopefully they will re-assign Ralphy boy to something else and bring someone like Callum or Camilo to kick it up a notch or two.
I understood--I just do no personally agree that the ride is rough. Gen 1 certainly is and Gen2 a bit better, but by 3 and 4 there is nothing rough about them IMO.
I have a Gen3. I would say the ride is "rougher" than the GT. Suspension is very stiff and if not on smooth roads you feel every pebble and road imperfection. It's a visceral car with great presence.

No, it wasn't about the ride either. Si here it is: I'm 6'2" and 250 LBS. It's a piece of shit to drive, because I'm stuffed in there like a sardine, and my eyes are about in line with the top of the windshield. I have my left knee about 1/4" away from the bolster...and my head almost touches the rag top when it's up. I can't put the steering wheel all the way down, because my hands hit my legs when making lock to lock turns. The ragtop when up, rattles and squeaks...
