Hyatt just bought this hotel (previously the Adams Mark) and have been doing a gazillion dollar renovation. I never did like their valet parking policy, so I refused to go there. they also made it a one way street in front of the hotel so it's easy in, but impossible out.

Your experience has to be, if not THEE prime illustration of outrageous valet behavior, easily within the top three! :willy:willy:willy

i got sick watching that thing.
How anyone could treat a car that way absolutely blows my mind.
I think there is only 1 car that i have ever taken past 2k...it was a boxter with a shit clutch that was burnt out and wouldn't engage. I went in the bar gave the guy his keys and told him to park it. He laughed at me gave me $20 dollars and parked it.
i routinely park 7 series BMWs, parked an S65 amg 2x's S550's tons of times, and and Audi RS6 V10 TT (secks, but very very throttle happy) and the list goes on and on. Never once have i even thought of beating on them...except 1

i really wanted to take it out and beat the ever living dog shit out of it.... a 1995 M3 with 251k on it. The guy walked up got out i did my routine of letting the ladies out first and then getting the ticket for him. he then looked at me and said "am i not important enough to get the door first since i am the driver?".." sorry sir, i always get the passengers first as they are your guests" ..."whatever your a piece of shit and don't understand service" at this point his girlfriend was completely embarrassed and trying to get away from him. i blow it off and start to write the info on it down.. this next statement is what irked me beyond all belief he walks over throws a dollar on the ground and says "it probably more than your worth anyhow so don't spend it all" so i parked it and left the dollar laying there. upon his return for the car i grab his ticket run to the garage and get in the car, as i put it in reverse the shift knob pops off when i get in and shut the door the rear view falls on my head as I'm reaching for the shift knob in the floorboard...so i start thinking how can i get this bastard back without being obvious. I got it!!!as i round the corner i cut the most god awful fart i have ever cut. but being it was cold the smell wont permeate until it gets warm... smiling i turn the heater on full for his comfort. i pull up and he runs to the door leaving his BEAUTIFUL girlfriend standing in the cold ( i open the door for her and say quietly "sorry his a jackass" and she smiled)... A few seconds later i hear "WHAT THE F*** IS THAT SMELL" and it's his gf so she blamed him for being rude to me and then AGAIN for being a pig to her.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

i enjoy just sitting in them. sitting in 100k+ of a car just feels different it feels good. (save for Bently...i'd rather have a 300C with the SRT8). first and foremost i am a car guy and these exotic beauties are just that to me absolutely beautiful and i treat them as i would my wife and my car With the utmost respect and care.

So if for some reason you ever end up in Alabama and need a car parked rest assured it will be cared for, and if it's the GT i will show you where the lot is and get you in the lot (closed parking garage so no dinged doors) if there is space you can have the one out front ( I'll bring microfiber towels to wipe the drool and not scratch the paint). If you want it parked...i will do it, i won't let any other valet park the $$$ cars. It's not that i don't trust them, its that i know how to take car of a car and ensure nothing goes wrong with it.

To prevent valet abuse to your car, have your tuner program a valet tune and set the rev limiter to 2,500 RPM. If you have an SCT excal or Diablo plug it in and change the tune when you pull up. It is a little hassle but it could save your car!:wink

Somewhat related to valet pblms is the complete absence of secure parking for high end cars at most "upscale hotels"...not to mention the SEVERE angle of attack on many 'ramps leading to what parking there is. (Regarding the latter, I've seen a few that pretty much require a 4X4 P/U with a lift kit to negotiate)

But, with regard to the former, some of these hotels could make what essentially would amount to "free money" buy providing 'same. After all, their parking garage has to be built anyway. Why not incorporate a "secure parking section" with w-i-d-e stalls. Better yet, a section with individual secure stalls (either option with 'cameras and access via room "key card" only), available for a fee? :shrug After all, it wouldn't be just "high end" car owners who'd utilize it. There are people who are just as fussy as Paranoid Pockets when it comes to their new Prius...or their '65 Mustang, or you name it.

'Too much egg nog, I guess...:willy

^ this is a good idea...even though i think 2k would suffice

EP my worst cussing was from a guy with a prius, b/c "i gave it to much gas on a hill" :confused thought it was electric until the .5 cylinder kicked in
