Thank you,
alex
The VIN is stamped into the back of the LH head on the engine. The VIN is stamped into the chassis behind the RH front inner fender on an extrusion at the rear of the fender opening (hard to get to)and it is stamped onto the extrusion that is under the rear diffuser on the LH side.

Rich! Thanks a lot you have saved me a ton of time at the customs - they were looking for the engine # for 3 hours.
I have finally received my car and will post a full story tonight - I had a dyno test done at the customs (russian road tax is a derivative of engine HP) and the car dynoed 1098 crank HP on pump gas (I wish I had a tune in the SCT that would have set boost to 2 PSI or something, or turned it off) - now I will have to pay 7k$/year road taxI was hoping they wouldnt find that the car was tuned and I would only get 558 HP in my title

Please DO NOT tell anyone in Canada about this. We are more socialist than in Russia.
HP TAX????!!! Come on! That is nuts. It is guys who can afford these cars that are helping the economy in most likely all cases. You need to make money to spend money. I am sure that he pays enough in other tax, corporate and/or personal to more than compensate for a HP tax.

Alex 911 my condolences.
I don't really mind it since personal income tax is only 13% flat rate here![]()
