Please explain how dry ice cleaning works. Do you need specialized equipment?

It's like sandblasting except is uses granulated dry ice as the agent. It leaves no residue (besides what you clean off) since the dry ice evaporates. It's less abrasive too. I considered one for cleaning the calcium from my pool tile (where the people you pay use "glass beads" which then get sucked into the filter) and the dry ice is CO2 which produces carbonic acid in the water so it lowers pH too. The machine was quite pricey and my compressor wouldn't drive it...

Instead of a pressure washer or sand blaster, it shoots dry ice that evaporates leaving dirt dust on the floor to sweep up. Yes, a special machine that can be spendy, $3-14K There are shops and mobile companies that do it.

Did a trade and cash for a GTX1 I know there are mixed feelings on the GTX1. But I did get Rich’s blessing as he had gone over the car a few years back.Yes the one on BAT!
Love my NGT! But love the raw open air analog experience. Also bought a ground up restored 1963 E Type OTS Jag!

Wow, Ron! I didn't realize you sold your NFGT. Nice trade. Coming from motorcycles, I can definitely relate to the fun and excitement of open air motoring.

Today, I went to the local car gathering, which was "Ferrari" day, so of course, I brought my 2006 Ford GT, lest they get too cocky. Haha. Actually a strong showing of Ford cars today, including a really nice 60's era Galaxie 500.

The Ferrari movie will be coming out soon, hopefully it's good, but maybe not "too good." Kidding. All in good fun.

Scott Ahlman and I discussed various options for ride height, rebound, and compression settings.

Initially, he set it up for me at stock height instead of 3/4 inch drop, since I have some rather steep curbing to negotiate.

So he dialed everything in, and when I received it, just verified settings, and it was drop in replacement.

Absolutely no entry or departure touching on curbs, which is what I wanted, although it would look really nice dropped a touch. Plus some dynamic benefits either way, depending on how you prefer your performance and ride quality.

I was noticing the setting you had was way higher than mine.... maybe a few inches?
My ring collar is probably about 1/2" from the bottom thread to get a 4" underbelly clearance on stock rims and BStone rubber.
Scott thought that was weird how I had to drop further to get his 4" number
