Unsual Ferrari 599 GTO color

If you were looking for one of these tonight would have been your place and time to be. It was awesome looking though. I'll post up some pictures of the whole auction later. Just got back to the hotel. I got to behind the ropes to see the 5000 series cars including the Tucker. The most awesome car there was the Daimler. Tucker was second.

All you need is Cruella De'Ville and a whole bunch of Dalmations.

Love the color, where can it be purchased?

If you are speaking about the 599 GT0 in question, all off-colors are special ordered for customers and have a taker...the 599 GTO is the street version of of the 599XX (track only)....try 460 thousand $ for a special order car. But then everything is relative, the scud I have sold for 315 thousand in its time when demand was high...Believe there are spy shots of the next gen 599...so these will take hits as well.

A friend sent me a pic of a 599 GTO in a "British racing green". Like a a Bullitt green. So the car comes in several greens apparently.

The Grinch ordered it!

Yeuch, either him or the Green Goblin :thumbsdow

AND, that car sold for way too much money at that. I can buy a car just like that, all day long for around $200k - $205k wholesale and it would retail out for around $215k - $220k MAX. $242k is CRAZY money. Way over market. I will never understand BJ prices. Once car sells WAY too high and the next WAY too low. I dont see how they get that many people to bring there cars there to sell....

So 242K would be 220K+10%. Most of the buyers don't factor in the 10% "buyer's premium" (BJ Commission).

I'm figuring that if I had taken my Cobra there this time I might have gotten 100K instead of 85K. Maybe more, but then the 8% seller's premium, er, commission, and I think I did OK.

There were some cars that went for more than they should have. The 60's Mustangs, especially the Shelby GT350 and GT500, Boss 302 and CobraJets did very well. The few Shelby Cobras did exceptionally well. Stephen Becker has always had cars there this time none and I think he missed out.

Check out this GT350....and especially the video http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/21/...lby-gt350-barn-find-headed-to-a-ne/#continued

This bad boy was hammered waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to quick. Somethin' smells. While on other cars, they sat on a number for a good ten minutes trying to drive the price up.

..........................must have needed to go to commercial ehhhh!?

Funny thing, this vehicle DOESN'T show up in the auction results on the BJ site.

You can say that again. 'Appeared to hit the hammer the INSTANT the last bid was made.

'Never seen a car's bidding go from giddy up to whoa that fast in my life.
