I had no drone with my Accufab, sold it to another FGT owner and he had drone...
please explain... I am baffled, not a pun or a suggested that I ran baffles. :)

One man's drone, is anothers man's music.

I also think it has to do with how you drive the car and if the windows are up or down. I don't have any drone if I don't let the rpms go below about 2500.

I have the windows up and the air on as a rule.

My Xpipe has drone between 2000 and 2700 RPM, but if I cruise below or above this range, then it is very quiet. So if I cruise below 80 and not get on the gas on the freeway, the RPM is below 2000 RPM and thus makes the curise very relaxing. When I put the hammer down, I usually put the car in 4th or 5th gear and then the RPM will rise above 2700 RPM anyway. So the drone in this narrow range of RPM doesn't bother me at all.

I think that the issue here as that each of us have our own threshold for how much drone we can tolerate. I found that all of the after market pipes for the GT exhibited some amount of drone when accelerating in the 2000 to 2700 rpm range. I did not find a satisfying sound until I went to Ford Racing muffler. PD
