Perhaps I shouldn't bemoan our pesky scorpions. Or baby rattle snakes (Chip).

We have black widows and rattlers but never any in the garage yet. Scorpions were fun when trimming the palm trees

Not sure that bait doesn't attract them from outside the garage. Had the problem, used baited spring traps, caught mice. When I hadn't caught any more for a while I shifted to spring traps with the yellow trigger pad, no bait. Haven't had a problem for over a year. Maybe it's like "bear smell bacon 1/2 mile away"?

Hope the Democrat using live traps realizes he will have to take Mickey to California for release, or Mickey will beat him home.

Well I picked up most of the traps today. I put out 4 rows of 5 sunflower seeds in the garage for the last couple of days and none of them disappeared. So I think he was a scout mouse looking for a new place to start a new home.

I did leave out 2 live traps and 2 traps that when they walk in they get snapped. I could not leave any other traps out because our dog loves to go in the garage with us. If I would have left the other traps in the garage she would have came out with glue pads stuck to her feet and a broken tong from licking the bait off the spring traps.

haven't seen mice where I'm at but to the "local" pests being added to this thread, the widows and copperheads (rattlers wo noise makers) are prevalent where I'm at....
