Just curious what tires you guys will be running. I suspect that those of you who have whippled or TT your car will likely be wearing Hoosiers or some other softer compound (e.g. Michelin Pilot Sport Cups) than the stock Goodyears. I thought about running my Hoosiers, but I suspect that given that I don't know this track, I may stick with the Goodyears (probably better for around town stuff anyway)...they are not all bad just not as sticky and confidence-inspiring as my Hoosiers.

The high speed Nardo testing was done on the Goodyears, to show the car's capability and validate the Goodyear tires at speed. I stay with the proven rubber.

My yellow GT will be wearing Hoosiers for both track and street events at the Texas Rally.

All I own is Hoosiers .
Hoosier also did testing on the Ford Gt tire program.

R6's for me too.

While we tested many tires during the GT program only the Goodyears were tested and signed off for high speed.

I can't speak for high speed straight line testing, but on road coarses, such as VIR, the Hoosiers make quite a difference, not just cornering but also braking. But since we will be driving in quite a few different venues, I will likely just keep my Goodyear's on.

Thanks Mark----See You in Texas!

I agree with Mark but I am still changing my tires. The problem we are running into Mark is that the goodyears you get now are many times over 4 years old and have been sitting on a shelf....I'm worried about going that fast on 5 year old tires.

Im going with the scudera (sp)

Excellent choice. :thumbsup:thumbsup

I am taking my Hoosier's for the track events but I will be running the Bridgestone's on the street. I found that the Hoosier A6's made a lot of road noise on smooth roads... the roads between Austin and The Texas Mile, are not smooth.
