Here are the milages I've gotten on my Goodyear F1 Eagle tires to date:
Rear Tires
1st set: 9,652.0 miles
2nd set: 8,989.6 miles
3rd set: 11,748.7 miles
4th set: 7,165.9 miles (these were used tires that came with a set of wheels)
5th set: 13,918.3 miles
6th set: 14,453 miles (still on car, need replacing)

Additionally, I also have a set of wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup trires, and which currently have 5,897.0 miles, front and rear, but still have a bit of life left, and are presently stored.

Front Tires
1st set: 19,938.6 miles (replaced prior to end-of-life due to tire/wheel damage)
2nd set: 30,357.5 miles
3rd set[: Still on Car

From looking at your data, statistically speaking, it seems that you are getting slower.

Or, you had a really heavy foot early on. (50% delta improvement?) :wink

Actually, as I was dealing with my dealeship initially, I was buying the tires from them. They are located in San Diego, so it almost 1,000 miles round trip for servicing. Thus, the 1st two sets were not quite down to the wear bars when I replaced them, as it was convenient to have it done when the car was serviced. For the later sets, I started doing my own servicing so I let them go well past the wear bars prior to changing them out, and would just order new ones from the TireRack. They have a warehouse east of Reno, so I would pickup the tires there, have them mounted in Reno, and bring them home to mount on the car.

And yes, I have been driving slower (unless in the central part of Nevada), at the lower pressure levels quoted earlier.

I think for the average GT owner, age rather than wear becomes the issue.

What a shame.

I have 11K on my car and never changed tires because of wear but age. Too old to run the mile. I switched to Hoosiers since I don't think I will wear those out either.
