Ticking sound?

I love my 2005 Ford GT. What a great car in terms of both style and performance
Have owned the car about 18 months and have a question: has anyone else noticed a ticking sound (like an electronic sound, not mechanical) when you are moving? The sound stops when the car stops, and the interval between sounds is about 8 seconds - and does not seem to be affected by speed or engine rpm. It is also not related to the odometer. It is not coming through the sound system.
It is not that annoying, but I am curious as to what it is! Thoughts?

Look up rattle snake noise here on the Forum. Also, look under your car and make sure all the bellypan screws are in and tight.

Thanks, but the sound is not that of metal on metal - it sounds electronic in nature.

Sounds like it is in or behind the dash, only when the AC switch is on? Sounds like an A/C cycling solenoid switching/clicking on and off?

This is probably more than you wanted, but I always wondered where the AC cycling switch was located. And, I am learning how to post images. Looks like this worked. Location of two AC switches identified in red.

I like your idea, it does sound like a solenoid cycling on and off. Not sure why it quits when the vehicle is running, but not moving, but I will try turning the AC off and see if the sound disappears. Thanks!!!

Had the same thing, serviced the a/c system all good
