Dave as you know if you live in Michigan you need to embrace winter. Had a long weekend to go play in northern Michigan and with record snow and the GT being tented to by, The GT Guys, Lynn and I did a little winter snow testing. Not to offend one can walk under the Mackinaw Bridge while standing on lake Huron. Running the snowmobiles on the winding Michigan trails is a great workout and prep for the upcoming track days.

Looks like great fun - but be careful out there that ice is under some serious pressure from the current under the bridge.

Did not go out too far as there is open water where the ice breaker keeps the straigts open. Somewhere in the white are the towers but never did see them due to the snow from the polar vortex:lol

I missed mine too. I was figuring low teens. Temp on the truck when I went to the bar was 9, when I came home in the blizzard, 6. Going to Vegas.

More Polar Vortex coming in tonight . The good news is that the Army Corps of Engineers announced today that this snowfall and SnowPack will raise the lake levels of Lake Superior , Lake Michigan and Lake Huron by 3 to 5 inches !!.
Lake Erie and Lake Ontario are projected to stay at current level.
I called Al Gore about the Polar Vortex and Global Warming ( Climate Change) and he just huffed-and-puffed at me on the phone and said he did not have time to talk. His private jet was waiting to take him to some warmer climes...

The bad news here is that the Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA are keeping my best friends from rebuilding their house after the devastating floods last September. This whole thing is the biggest cluster f*** you've ever seen. A whole street has been told they have to have a new survey because one of the benchmarks wasn't right. Folks, we are talking 1-2 inches and in once case .1".

We are here to help you. We're from the government.
