Certainly there is much that I can shared however when the Whipple arrived and was removed from the box the first thing that came to mind it “WOW !! that pump is fricken huge”
To say the least this is an understatement because the pictures truly do not do the unit justice. When looked at side by side with the OEM unit it is quickly obvious that the OEM unit would fit nicely within the Whipple unit.
Now having shared this I must say that Jack and the team at Muscle Motor's remain a pleasure to work with through each and every transaction and then add to this the same experience has been had by me when working with Whipple's team members Dustin, Michael, as well as the litany of unnamed folks behind the scenes all directed by Art Whipple himself. I had the opportunity to chat with Art Whipple today during which it became more than clear that this is a company that cares. In this world where it is all too easy to reduce a customer to simply another number rather than a person the personal experiences that I have had with each of these folks has been most refreshing.
My original goal was to have the unit in time to tweak it a bit and then install it over the Holidays however as the result of scheduling issues this project was placed on the back burners. Now having seen the unit in person forward movement has once again commenced.
What I would say is the unit is truly a masterpiece to look at and there is no doubt that once it is in place it will further compliment an already awesome looking engine bay not to mention the fact that the gal will be presented with new and a significantly increased breath of fresh air being forced through her.
So; if you remain on the fence as to whether the Whipple or TT setup is for you I would say “jump in with both feet; the water is fine” and let the extreme fun begin.
I elected to remain with the supercharger setup not because of the associated cost but rather because mechanical pumps are what I have grown fond over the last 35 plus years and then add to this the fact that the gal was originally presented with one. However after saying this every time I watch the team at “Stage 6” creating and then presenting Joe’s TT monster followed by Torrie’s as well as the beautiful TT setup being offered by Heffner Performance I can do nothing less than smile.
Have fun with your GT
