Knowing my seats will also get pretty worn from all the people buying high speed trips I did the following.

I had a upholstery shop remove the original seat covers (no problem by the way) and then I had them do me a new set to use for the next few years. Again I’ll store the originals away with my rocker panels, and they will come in handy one day.

I really like the GT40 seats with the vents that was replicated on the 2005/2006 GT.

A little bigger vents than the GT40 but less of them like on the 2005/2006, a nice in between was what I went for.

More pics later, but the next week I’ll be holiday’ing in Florida, so not a lot GT action for now.

Chevy Astro/GMC Safari van has about 6000 lb towing capacity. One of the most versatile vehicles I ever owned. Many were made with AWD.

On second look, that doesn't quite look like a customized Astro-fari. What is it?

It's a VW Multivan that has just enough towing capacity for the job.

Aftermarket wheels ordered

So I've went ahead and have now ordered a set of aftermarket wheels for the GT.

My choice is PUR RS10's in 20x9 and 21x12. This is ½ inch wider than stock with an offset that means the centerline of the wheels will remain unchanged.

The tires will be Michelin Pilot Sport 4, which is not a "simi slick" like the Cup Sports, but that is fine since I'll be driving round Europe on holiday this summer, and I wouldn't want to be on Cup Sports if heavy rain should apear.

So the original wheels for track days and the PUR's for show.

Going to Le Mans in my GT - Yeah baby

So finally I can reveal that my wife and I will travel to Le Mans in my GT.
We have been invited by Ford Denmark to be a part of the press with all the nic eVIP hospitality that includes.

The bags will be packed tonight and tomorrow evening we are sailing to Germany and will have a stop over at Nürburgring before heading for Le Mans.

Can wait...

There is heavy rain over Europe at the moment and I was not keen on driving on my already worn Cupsport tires. So I went with a new set of shoes mounted with Pilot Sport 4 tires for the GT.

The wheels are PUR's in 20/21 inch and they are ½ inch wider than stock but the centerline remains as stock.

Would like to figure out a way to put a upshift button on my brake/accelerator lever, but this will have to do for now...
