U.S crushed Germany by 49 this morning in basketball. Average win total in the first round was 32+. USA basketball is serious again.

It's over. U.S.A basketball whooped some ass. Felt good for all the volleyball crews also.

I feel bad for London having to follow this one. Especially with that horribly awful logo already setting the standard. :lol You could tell in the closing ceremony London is already trying to be a smidge too avant garde with their themes. Pink-checkered parachute pants worn by dudes with mohawks aren't quite as neat as the insane stuff that the Chinese put on.

The logo looks like a direct hit on a pizza factory.

However we have Boris Johnson rather than the aptly named 'appalling old waxworks' that are the Chinese Government Officials. He made a most amusing speech when accepting the flag claiming that Ping Pong was, in fact, the invention of the British. 'It was invented in the dining room and was called Whif Whaf - the French see a dining table and see an opportunity for dinner, the British see a dining table as an opportunity for Whif Whaf. And I tell the Chinese People - Ping Pong's coming home!' :lol

The Chinese spent $23 billion on the Olympics, we're planning on spending $9bn.

It'll be a lot of laughs!

Did that include the prison slave labor?
