I have a slightly different look on the milage issue. First off if I could I would own a minimum of 3 GTs. 1st would be bone stock in bubble wrap, why? because I could afford it and having a perfect GT 20 years from now would be a ton of fun and very cool. The 2nd would be a balls out track car, no heater, no a/c, no pw, TT etc. why? because it would be a ton of fun and very cool. The 3rd would be lightly modified car for daily driving. Why? because driving it everyday would be a ton of fun and very cool. Now back to reality.
My only car is #3. Lightly modified Wheels, tires, pulley, some after market bolt-ons. The car was purchased in Aug. of 05 and has 4000 miles on it. The reason why it doesn't have 20 30 or even 40 thousand miles is for one reason. I recall the first time at the dealers' show room when I slipped into the new drivers seat, was engulfed by the smell of new leather, looked through a perfect windshield at flawless hood paint, gazed at her perfect wheels, lifted the clam shell and marveled at her pristine engine compartment, I new right then and there she was no "ho" but the one I would stay true to forever. By keeping my "Gal" up on a pedestal, treating her with love and respect and not jumping on her like my wiener dog on a piece of raw meat, I'm able to relive some of those first feelings and moments when she's un-covered and I her touch her button. Do I roll her over and spank her once in a while? Sure, but once I'm done she goes away for a few weeks or even months and when I return my Gal is almost a virgin again.
If I die early? Mrs SteveA says she will keep my red sweetheart and use her for bait to snare another man. That will teach the SOB to lust after and defile my "Gal".
