We have been preaching the use of pre preg carbon fiber forever. It now seems that it is the go to product for a lot of the exotic brands. Tecnocraft has been fanatical about carbon fiber and we are just glad to see it being embraced for the automotive enthusiast in all of us.
Here is our Honda S2000 with a lot of pre preg carbon fiber work on it.
1. The rigid front bumper is made in pre preg carbon fiber and weigh only 4 lbs.
2. Front fenders is also made in carbon fiber and are 30mm wider than stock bumper.
3. Front bonnet is vented to let radiator heat exit the engine bay, and is made entirely in pre preg carbon fiber.
4. Removal hardtop is also made of pre preg carbon fiber.
5. The rear trunk is also made entirely of pre preg carbon fiber as is the trunk ascent spoiler.
6. The GT wing is also made of aircraft quality pre preg carbon fiber, and designed by time attack engineers.
7. The dry carbon fiber air cleaner directs and manipulates air efficiently to the throttle body manifold intake.
8. The carbon fiber front splitter channels air to the intake scoop as well as split air efficiently underneath to the entire underbody diffuser.
9. The entire underbody of the S2000 is covered in dry carbon fiber to ensure turbulent airflow is guided and diffuse to provide aerodynamic principles that keep it working in conjunction with the wing. The vents and naca duct keep it running cool.
10. Weight reduction is the name of the game and from the interior alone we were able to shave off 90 lbs. with the removal of the soft top and the addition of these dry carbon fiber bucket seats.
11. The wheels are lightweight forged Prodrive GC-07 and the lug nuts are CNC from solid titanium. The Brembo GT big brake kits are also lighter than the OEM brake system.
We are here to adhere to the principles about reducing as much weight as possible while also keeping it street friendly.
This S2000 is one of a kind, there is no other like it on the market that incorporates this much CF work.
