Really only about 3hrs. It's 4 to Lake George.
Going up the Tacanic Pky is a blast. Stu will confirm.
We could also swing by him and do some back roads on Rt23 & 7 .
The only issue will be (as always) getting off the Island without a Gino bent rim.

Taconic to Upstate NY is a nice ride... very twisty roads but scenic. Heavily patrolled by NY State Troopers. I'm in if the weekend works with my shi##y call schedule.

We may want to think about spending a night at the Sagamore in Bolton Landing. I have close friends there and we can arrange something special. There are fantastic (no cop) roads (back roads) through Kean Valley to Lake Placid. Also, Rt $ 149 off of exit #20 on the Northway to Vermont Rt #30 into Manchester is SUPER!!!!! smooth twisty pavement.
