I just looked at what I *think* was my best lap in the Joyride GT - 3:17.00

Hoosiers, stock alignment, pulley & tune, exhaust, Stillen (AP) race clutch, and Stillen exhaust

I don't know what my best time was in Mr. and Mrs. Apollo's Silver LS on Thursday, but let me tell you I don't think I was too far behind my best laps in the GT.
Took me two laps to settle into the car and the transmission (2-3, 3-2, 3-4, 4-3 shifts were difficult to figure out for me), and then I was able to give the car my best. Holy Cow!
I was blown away with the handling of the LS Boss 302, acceleration, turn in, brakes, everything just amazed me. I kept saying to my self "I cant' believe this thing is a Mustang!"

When Kendall stopped by a few weeks back I drove his LS at our local canyon and i was unbelievably impressed by its handling.

The Boss's in attendance were extremely impressive. We are still getting them dialed in... but they are wicked fast on the track and the oh-so-neutral handling makes you feel like a professional. In the first session - all of the Boss's were over heating but we got a couple of tips from some engineers from a certain car company to remove the grills. After this, none of us had any over-heating problems. In analyzing everything, many parts are being ordered in the morning. It was easy to exceed the capabilities of the front (street) brake pads. We will be getting better pads for the next track day and, for good measure, several of us are ordering 2-piece rotors with aluminum hats. Rear brakes are fine. Also, the outside edge of the front tires took a beating. So, camber plates are also on the order list. I really think that's gonna be it to make this car a very serious threat on the road courses.

No numbers for a few days, until I return from Utah, get to my desktop and download the data. I'm completely satisfied with the Boss and plan to wrap up the upgrades during the next month. Until then 3:17, looks like a great number.
