Thanks from FGT Rally 7

I wish I was able to go. Looks like it was a fantastic event.

Stormy, that sounds like low T. you should get that checked....

We have attended all seven (7) of the FGT Rallys. Each one was very cool in its own way.. But for the non-expert racers like myself, this track was the optimum. Fast but Safe. I put in more track time than usual.....
Dave and Francesca --thanks for another great one....
And thanks to everyone who attended...talking to as many of you as I could ...each has a special story..

Andy Donna and I enjoyed meeting with Margaret and you on the flag stand watching all the action. As far as the racetrack at Nola I went to Road Atlanta last week and although a great layout there were lots of concrete walls, tire barriers, and gravel traps that were very close to the track. Lots of opportunity for serious damage.

Thanks DBK! If you didn't have the Forum & Rally's I wouldn't have had the opportunity to make the stickers!

Ed

PS Thanks for giving up a day of driving on the track to be a track worker when the track workers didn't show up! Above the call of duty!

Thank you DBK for such a great event again! A great choice in location and facilities. The common enthusiasm for the FGT (and cars in general) is inspiring but not as cool as the people at the event. You and the forum members are the ones that make it such a special event. It was great to see teammates like Mark and Camilo, many forum friends from last year and make many new friends.

As a testament to the people and the event, my wife left saying "this is one of the best trips we've had a long time." She was right. And she left with a strong desire for getting a FGT! Its been over 6 years since she was in them during development. I'll be looking for a decent salvaged car to be built into a nice track car. As you guys know, they are meant to be driven and driven hard. Keep the rubber down and on track. Take Care,

Scott

It was nice to meet you Scott and my wife also stated the same thing about it being a great trip. Good idea on a track car so let us know when you find one

Good to meet you as well Steve. Great that our wives enjoy the trip a lot. Will for sure post if I find one...I know they continue to get harder to find in reasonable shape.

We really enjoyed your talk at the banquet. Learning more about this great car and the history of its development is fabulous. Having such close access to the original team is an incredible experience. We look forward to seeing you at the next. Thanks for your work, and thanks for signing the car. Peace.

John, I am glad you liked the talk. It is always tough to narrow down so many good stories to tell and topics to discuss. I always enjoy my time with you guys and look forward to many years ahead. It is an honor to sign your car- glad to do it.

I had a great time with your wife!
Oh and yes I had a great time with you too!
BTW how was the wedding?

In addition to all of the above, thanks to Dave for putting this annual event together and keeping the tradition alive. Drew does an outstanding job insuring my performance and collector cars and I wouldn't even consider anyone else.

Chip

Here! Here! Can't wait till next year!

Ron, I almost missed this until I saw Tim's post...I'm not sending you a Xmas card now! I did a better kartwheel/round off than both of you at 1 AM! Wedding was great but even crazier...broke my hand...screws and pins tomorrow. Don't recommend getting hurt south of the border.

Dave, what a special thing that you've created and carried forward. The people I've met, the places I've experienced, the times I've shared!
Thankyou to you and Francesca and everyone that participates.

Scott -

You almost sound like the idiot that I am...

Take care of yourself, as you are an irreplacable asset to the Ford GT Forum. (I hope you mend quickly) - :bow

:beer2: :cheers :beer2:

Ralphie, I am surely an idiot...just glad I live in the USA to get it fixed right. Will have to hear about your story! Thank you for the well wishes. Will heal fast. Missed you at the Rally. Next time.
