Someone is organizing a Ford GT cars and coffee for the morning of this upcoming Saturday, July 27th, 2024 - in Orange County, CA. I'll post the full details in the Ford GT owner's forum, hopefully we get a strong showing. I have no direct affiliation to the venue or the organizers. Not sure whether it's public, so to be safe, I'll post details in said sub thread.

Fun Saturday morning with a collection of approximately 30 Ford GTs across three generations coming together at The Finish Line in Costa Mesa with the collaboration of Gasoline and Caffeine OC organizing.

The last two of this series of these were photographed on vintage Nikon Nikkor manual focus glass for a different look.

I didn't see any 05-06 or NFGT in RED. Apparently your lenses have suffered a spectrum shift and are no longer parfocal or parcentered.

And a few more from the very enjoyable morning. The Finish Line is expanding into Phase Two of their construction which means we likely lose the large and beautiful parking lot which has served for such a nice gathering place for the community. Thankful for the fun events, and hope that they might somehow continue post construction, even if in a different format.

A collection of front ends.

The universe is verified back in balance.

So you put old Nikon film lenses on a newer digital body? Can you still buy and develop 35 mm film? I always found Nikon software difficult to use and much prefer Leica equipment.

Just picked up a mechanical hybrid shutter Nikon FM3a and a couple AI-S lenses in Japan last month. 50mm and a 35mm. 35mm film is readily available, here are a couple snaps, manually focused with my first roll of Ilford B&W film, unedited. It can developed by oneself with the proper equipment or dropped off at local shops in the US (or internationally, I assume). I brought my exposed rolls back to the US to have them developed.

The film camera and vintage mechanical lenses. These lenses (One of them, the 35mm wide angle prime, I think is about 40 years old) can easily be adapted to modern digital camera bodies. Basically the adapter fills the gap needed to ensure a proper optical distance for the lens to work with mirrorless. Note that lenses from different manufacturers can often be adapted to different manufacturer bodies (i.e. you can shoot many manual Leica lenses on a Nikon/Canon/Sony digital camera with the proper adapter).

The news reports that racoons are attacking the cybertrucks, honestly mistaking them for trash bins.

The photos of muddy pawprints all over the bed cover, crack me up, having seen those before, but on actual trashcans, as opposed to pure trash. Haha.

Link to the MSN article and photos of the pawprints here:

When you out-exotic the Italian exotics!

Few minutes into the show, one of the Lamborghini owners moved from his initial spot, and parked directly in front of my 2021 NFGT.

But, despite the antics, innocent or otherwise, the Heritage was not to be denied on this day. Fun to take home first in class and "Most Exotic" as momentos on a beautiful day.

And good natured fun by these sport bikers who let this young enthusiast rev away on their throttles! I think he'll always remember that.

Another fun adventure in Southern California.
