Had a local car meet up on Halloween for fun, and a minivan pulls up and a mom and her 3 kids get out. One of her young sons saw our cars in the shopping center and made his mom pull over. He knew a lot about cars, and specifically the Ford GT. So we talked a bit. They were there for a club soccer match and not from the area. But occasionally tournaments might bring them to our area. So, I said, oh if you are ever in the area again, drop by and I will leave a little something for Matt. (remote controlled NFGT and some other small stuff).
I left a care package with my staff, and finally, after 6 months, I pulled it, thinking that they weren't able to make the special trek out.
Not less than a week later, his mom, messages me on my car instagram, and says, hey we have another tournament nearby and are finally able to drop by, is the package still there? So, I repackage it and leave it out.
The other day, I get this really nice note, and gift card.
Because, hey, if we don't engage the next generation, no one is going to dreaming about driving EV Teslas and EV Priuses.
