Last weekend I attended some of the Team Shelby South Atlantic events. They had four days of activities I wish I could have attended them all.
On Friday night they had a track event at Palm Beach International Raceway. Shelby America had their big rig and some fun rides. They had a #2 1966 LeMans replica and a really cool Terlingua Mustang. I was happy to report that I just saw the original # 2 just weeks prior to this event!!
The final day was a track at Miami Homestead. I've been on that track before and it was really hot that day so I wasn't sure I was going to go out then they told me we could run the NASCAR banked turns 3 & 4 . I've never run the banked turns there so I signed up!!
I got to hang out with some really great people. Of course if you're around Miami Homestead Speedway the Bubble girls are usually there to help Brighten your day!! .. Next year I'll make sure I post up the flyer so more can attend. I ran into some other GT owners on Sunday...
Shelby American brought a really cool Terlingua Mustang to the event. Vince LaViolette the head of production and R&D was giving test rides. I got to speak with him for a while he knows a lot of Ford GT owners.. Fun Times... going to make sure I do all four events next year. Who knows maybe in a new GT!!
