Okay so this was cool enough where I figured I just had to pass it along. As some of you know, my father was a big influence into the role that cars played in my life especially with regards to the GT40. Well, my birthday is coming up in the next two weeks and every year he normally gets me some interesting die cast models since I collect 1/18th scale and other neat things. One of the ones I got this year was the Spark 1/18th 1969 LM winner, and I already had the 68 winner so I was really jacked. Then he says 'hang on, open this one'. I open the box and it's a Motor Max 1:12th Scale box with some weight to it. I already have the heritage version that I bought 10 years ago, but I was like 'thanks this is awesome!'. He tells me to open it.....
...and I see this:
What he did is he purchased a black car because of the stripes, disassembled the car and masked areas off, and painted the car to look just like my 2006 Tungsten. He took the time to put one of my old plates on it, paint the valve covers, even mask out the windows from the production model. It took a ton of work and he pulled it off amazingly.
I was completely floored and it's one of the best presents he's ever given me and he out does himself year after year. Had to share this with you guys, here are some more pics.
