Help me out here.... shorter is better.... remember.... I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed..

I'm a 35 year old white male. I'm married with 1 child... I own a business and work for others (the stunt thing). I have a six figure income and am trying really hard to break into the next figure bracket... My wife (bless her) is a stay at home mom and doesn't contribute financially.... Who do I want and why?

Oh... I've always considered myself a republican
OK, be gentle and simplify..

The real issue however is that Obama will win, more than likely he will win the White House and we have someone who has no idea how to run the United States in the world we live in. Obama is sort of a 'Liberal Communist'. If you make much money , consider it soon to be gone.
AJB

Agreed. We need Hillary to win, because Obama will win a general election. Can anyone, anyone, explain to me what Obama's credentials are to run the most powerful nation in the world? I realize you can ask that question with any number of the idiots in Washington, but it's especially relevant with a 3rd year junior senator with virtually no voting record and no notable achievements. But hey, he wants to close corporate tax loopholes and put the IRS even farther up your ass, so that's good. :bs

Go Obama!!!

Boo.

Is Huckabee going to be a spoiler or is he actually going to be a viable candidate?

What do you guys think?

The only thing Huckabee is going to do is pull votes from Romney and guarantee McCain's win. You can't win an election with today's media if you're making quotes about how your faith doesn't just influence your decisions, it drives them.

Personally, I've had it up to my mother****ing ears with the Republican party being beholden to a section of the populace that spends more time worrying about abortion and gays marrying each other than it does selling ourselves to the Chinese and spending ourselves into oblivion. The Republican party had a chance, but instead they were essentially Democrats against gays and Roe V. Wade. Nice work guys. We may soon be broke, owned by the communists and Saudi Arabians, and have printed money until we're Argentina, but at least those fags can't get health care! :bored

I pray it's McCain vs. Clinton so we at least have a chance, but even then, what is McCain?

Oh come on Dave ... don't sugar coat it! :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl BTW... I totally agree with the statement. :thumbsup

All I know is if they come on the TV and run that bit that Hillary would be the best Commander and Chief again :bs:bs:bs:bs:bs .. I'm gonna pull an Elvis on the tube ... I need a High Def anyway.

Stunts,

Three elderly women all live on the same street. Early one morning one of the women decided she would like to bake cupcakes. So she purchased some flour from one of the other women who lived two doors down the street. She purchased some sugar from the second woman who lived right next door. She then got out her cookbook and spent the next two hours baking and frosting a dozen cupcakes.

To a Democrat, this result is a shamefully disastrous and horribly inequitable example of capitalism and its resultant inequality. One greedy old wench ends up with all the cupcakes and the other two women are victims who have been screwed out of their fair share of the cupcakes. The Democratic Party's solution to this problem is to take 50% of the producing women's cupcakes and distribute them to the other two women.

The woman who baked the cupcakes in the first place will of course be subjected to annual audits where she will have to prove that she did not make any cupcakes that were not reported to the state so that half of them could be taken to be redistributed to those who did not make any.

The United States of America has been reduced to mob rule. 50% of taxpayers contribute virtually nothing to the support and maintenance of the nation. 25% of taxpayers receive earned income tax refunds of thousands of dollars more per year than they paid in taxes. The top 25% of taxpayers pay 90% of the income taxes. Democrats will bitch incessantly that the rich are not paying their fair share but never once have they ever stated what the "fair share" is. It's just always more than they're paying now.

Imagine this. There are 10 people living on your street. The man at the end of the street took a great risk investing his life savings and pledging all of his assets including his house to start up his own business. He worked 80 hours per week for years to protect his investment and make his business a success. His company provides jobs for half of the other people living on the street. Today he lives in a nice home and makes four times as much money as the average of the other nine residents. The other nine residents did not want to risk their homes or savings nor did they want to work more than 40 hours per week. Everyone was happy until a Democratic Party operative convinced the nine non-business owners that it was unfair and unjust for the business owner to be making more money than they were. So they call for a vote on whether or not half of the income and property of the richest resident on the street should be confiscated and redistributed to the other nine residents living on the street. The results of the vote were 9 to 1 in favor of confiscating half of rich man's income and property. If the rich man didn't willingly give it up he would of course, be jailed. And so it is in America today.

The land of the free and the home of the brave has been converted into the land of the whiners and wimps and the home of the lawsuit. Our once limited government that was supposed to exist primarily for the defense of the nation, the coining of money, and the regulation of interstate commerce has now been turned in to a giant clearinghouse for the redistribution of income and property from those who earned it to those who didn't. The hard-working people who created the wealth will be referred to derisively as "the rich" and the lazy slobs sitting on their butts waiting for and demanding ever-increasing handouts will be referred to as "working families".

With liberty and justice for all. :bored

In a nutshell, that's why I've been an "independent" for several years now. 'Couldn't agree more. But you forgot one additional important issue: the border/illegals issue. BOTH sides are just total TRAITERS when it comes to that one.

Oh, lets not get started...

Chip and Empty,

Thanks for the positive reinforcement..... Everything you said makes sense and I unfortunately have seen too much of... Politics have never been my thing... All I ever see in Politics is that everyone has something bad to say about the other guy. There is always some one or group who disapproves of the current President and there is always a scandal...

We definitely need reform but what precisely and how much of it?

'Problem with "reform" is: the same people it's targeting will be the ones writing the legislation to get it done. That's kinda like giving flys the job of fixing the screen door to the kitchen. I wouldn't expect much to come of it.
