I know the stripeless cars are relatively less common, but seems 15 years later, the rumors and myths that are being spread around are getting more and more mythical with each passing year. Saw this on the internet.

Never believe a statement that includes the phrase, "said to be one of..."

Unless centerpunch's chart is wrong, which seems doubtful, below it shows 14 red stripe delete 2005's, plus 82 more with just side stripes, not to mention 21 more red 06's with either no stripes or only side stripes. Maybe the author means only 5 left .. and he knows of a lot more red stripe-delete crashes than I would've ever guessed Although now that I read the caption, he doesn't say "red", so if you count stripe-delete for all '05 colors it's 114 ... and 213 for all colors 05 and 06. But yeah, I guess "said to be" gets authors off the hook

If you consider the wheels too, it was a pretty rare option combination- looks like only 2 red stripe delete cars also had the base wheels in 2005, and 2 more in 2006.

extrap, , Ive got a good tip, drive the car before the government takes gasoline away....
The chart is and was created by Ford, There's only ONE 1 0f 1 , SONIC BLUE...The rest is OLD history.
DBK will remember, there were 12 cars that WERE stripe delete that
After the downfall in the economy Saleen too back from Ford floor plan cars and ADDED STRIPES because as the memo said. These were HARD SALE cars. Adding stripes to try and sell them faster!
Like my silver 2005 vin 360.....you would have gotten a special added paper with the change , performed from Saleen the original builder.
Fun facts but the most fun is.........DRIVING THE CAR !

Here’s data on the midnight blue no-stripe cars. Mine is 1158 in the top pic. A friend shared this with me who was/is obsessed with keeping track of all of the blue ones… I don’t know if there’s any information on the other ones to this level of detail.

I own 1843 and it is now painted as heritage. one of two with mac, blue and no stripes! only one with Red calipers and bbs wheels and last blue no stripe car produced.. It is headed to florida soon. It was completely destroyed and i brought it back from its ruins!

my vin ends in 2048 I assume the serial number is the last digits of the vin.my car doesnt show up. Its blue with side stripes.

Does your car, #2048, have over-the-top painted stripes? Also, what year is it?

The 12th through 17th digits of your vin is the vehicle build sequence - these are the numbers that really identify the car.

I am the person who originally made those excel documents that Special K shared with the details on the blue, stripe delete GT's. Your car must be a '06?... As you can see, I only compiled FULL (over-the-top and side) stripe delete data for the 06's. If your car has side stripes, it would not be in that shorter list for the 7 FULL '06 stripe delete cars. I separated the data based on whether the "stripe delete" cars had side stripes or not. Looks like your car is 1 of 9 though! That's cool! Probably even more rare depending on options.

As you can see with the '05 data, I believe I have all of them there - I listed the FULL stripe delete's(of which there are 14) and the cars that came with just the side stripes separately(of which there are 37).

I'm personally interested in the '05 data a little bit more than the '06 data. Also, since the side stripes on these cars are just stickers and can be removed therefore making the car look like a FULL stripe delete, I gathered all of that data for the '05's as well - but just for the 05's.
