I just wanted to put it out there to the Forum that I am planning on hosting another mid-winter track outing in Vegas planned for late February 2011. I received many inquiries during the rally about my up-coming plans. Now that Rally V is history, I will start to focus on giving the Forum members their mid-year "fix". Watch later for details on the next "Stigs Day Out" by Tim Cantwell and JOYRIDE, et. al.

Now that Peak Completions is a member at Spring Mountain, we expect to see the Matech car at the event. Right Ray?????
 
Hey Daddio --I'm saving most of my meager allowance (hint, hint) so I can be there in February to be with the other Big Boys and play with our cars.

I'd like to make it as well. Especially if it can be combined with other events to enhance the fun factor quotient for the long Hawaii trek.

We had a great time last year. Good food, good rides, gambling, etc.
 
Dr Frank - I have my annual meeting in Chicago Feb 23-24. Geez, I hope Tim's event is the beginning of Feb or sometime in March would be better yet.

The women that participated last year did it from the inside the Ceasar's Palace shopping mall. I drove back to get them for the dinner at the track. It's about 55 miles from the track to the Strip. Cantwell lined up a dinner the first night at the Venetian. I had a Ford Flex at the track so I was the people hauler. You might look at the old thread on Stig's Day Out from last Feb. Cantwell had rooms booked at a fancy hotel but I had a place at the Mirage for $45/night, but I'm a player's card member with MGM hotels. Heidi is certainly welcome to stay with me.
 
My wife went with me last year and had a ball!

It was one of the few track events she's ever attended with me...and by the end of the day I felt confident enough to let her in the passenger's seat for a session on the track. Again...she loved it and so did I.

I'm a big fan of PALMS PLACE for quality vs. price. But we'll see what Tim decides on accommodations this year. I don't think we can go wrong at all with Vegas as the general 'venue'.

Can't wait!

Cantwell is out to lunch. Probably too late for most of us working guys to get off now.
