Status of missing Window Stickers?? anyone get a replacement/copy

I and many others here did not get their original window sticker.

My dealer offered to get a replacement; however, I never got one.

I assume this is part of a central Ford broadcast database server that can be printed on standard stock that Ford orders for all vehicles (so closing of Wixom should not be an issue)

I know some Ford GT Team members are present on the forum, so if this could be clarified it would be greatly appreciated.

Every collector will want this as part of original paperwork; and I believe by DMW regulations it needs to be disclosed to all buyers.

I also did not receive one at the time of delivery. My dealer ordered an original from Ford as a replacement and it is indistinguishable from the one that accompanied the car from the factory. It is a 100% original. Your dealer should know how to obtain another original for you. And you're right, it is a very important document to have for collectability reasons. Any subsequent buyer would want/demand this document.

I tried to get one through my local dealer, who sold the car to me used. They tried several times, and apparently because they weren't the original selling dealer they could not get one. I contacted Ford, and they were able to get me a "build" sheet for my car (it is basically a one page letter with a list of the options, but no prices, and no selling dealer name). I definitely want a copy of my window sticker....

Can you ask your dealer how he did?

The GT Hotline, Ford Customer Service, and my own dealer say a 100% Blue, white original cannot be requested.

A black/white copy of the window sticker can however.

Also, customer service will send you a Ford Letterhead page with your VIN details or a Windows based mock-window sticker.

I know this is a major hassle to call your dealer for my problem, but I am sure 10+ forum members would benefit. I'll buy you dinner at the Palm (12 drink max) in NYC next time your in NYC.

“I purchased a new exotic a few years ago, and it did not have the "Monrone" sticker with it.
Bony is correct, IT IS A FEDERAL LAW that it is to be attached to every new vehicle.
I had the dealer order me a new one from the manufacturer.
Be sure you get it.
Contact the dealer you purchased the car from and have them get you sticker.
SEE ATTACHED”

My dealer was also kind enough to give me a copy of his invoice with all of the dollar amounts still on it and the window sticker.

I spoke with my dealer's internet sales manager who promised to do some research and get back to me with details on exactly how they were able to obtain an original window sticker from Ford.

You can get replacement window labels for your car only if you contact the dealer where the car came from originally. If you bought the car used, the selling dealer can't get it. When my '06 Mustang GT came in, I asked our title clerk to order me another window label, so I can keep it in a frame. I got the exact duplicate label, with the boarder still applied. It hadn't been peeled. It was basically just like the label came out of the computer at the factory. I now have that label framed and display it when I go to shows. Just contact the dealer who originally ordered the car, and they should be able to get one for you. :thumbsup

A copy of the original window sticker can only be ordered from the original selling dealer ONLY! TGH:thumbsup It will look like the original.

Thanks for all you comments. Ford Motor Co called me today; a very helpful person told me its absolutely possible to get the Monroney sticker re-ordered.

I will get it after the holidays; as the staff are off for now.

Will update and provide the persons name if this is needed by others.
