Sorry for My Absence Part II

'So very sorry about your loss, Tim. Having gone thru the loss of both of my parents, believe me when I tell you I know exactly what you're going through right now. Know too that things will get better as you begin to adjust to this phase of your life...and "adjusting" is what you'll be doing..."adjusting", accepting, and becoming accustomed. (All of that "closure" stuff you hear about is pure bunk...as is "getting over it". BOTH are completely trumped up garbage. NEITHER ever happen. But, in time, you'll find that you really do adjust and accept.)

Don't be surprised if/when the gravity of the situation occasionally makes a direct hit on your tear ducts completely out of the blue for some time to come as well. I've been there. So will you. Likewise, what Kirby shared is also true: "Don't be surprised if you feel your Dad's presence in your life for as long as you live."

May God send His peace to you and yours.

Very sorry for your loss Tim. Been there with both my parents.

Very sorry for your loss, Tim. Welcome back. Life is short. Enjoy every minute!

My condolences brother Tim. Look forward to seeing you again in NOLA.

Thanks to all of you for your concern, support, and words of encouragement. It has really made a difference to help me and my family get through this rough patch.

Very sorry for your loss Tim, and glad you have you back. We've definitely missed you in Ford GT world. See you in New Orleans.

Tim,

Late to the condolances but heartfelt sorrow for your loss. I as many have previously posted also lost my dad to cancer 21 years ago. I have felt his presence in my life since God called him home.

I talked to John earlier today and wish you safe travels back to AZ. Look forward to seeing you and Kim (hopefully, as well as Garrett) at New Orleans in a short few weeks.

Welcome back Tim. I'm sorry about your dad. As I type this on my IPhone I'm in Denver to attend my aunt's funeral. I hate to see all the old guard going west. We'll toast them in New Orleans.

Chip

My condolences to you and your family Tim and it is good to see you back on the forum keeping all of us in check. I can only imagine what you have gone through as my dad too is fighting his demons of stage 3 prostate cancer. We just found out a couple of weeks ago that the cancer has metastasized to the bones and Lymph node so we are making our two hour trips to the doctors with the hope he will win his fight with this senseless disease. My dad will be attending this years rally with me as I am making every attempt to spend as much quality time as possible with him to add to our father and son memories. Thanks for sharing your experience and hope to see you at the rally.

Sorry for your loss of your father and welcome back to the forum Tim.
