Nice photos mherman2! I was there & had a nice time dragging our GTs. They were never designed to do it but we smoked everyone anyway!

Ok, this should not be a new thread as the link will take you to the existing thread on the event. I'm not a drag guy but my road track set up GT, with tons of negative camber, ran a 11.341 sec / 135.67 mph on the 1st run. Only 1/2 of the rear tires were contacting the track. This was the best of all cars all day. There werer even 2 original Dragon Slayer Cobras running. GTs rule.

Ed,
I had a 11.25 128.8mph. I'm looking for you at the next drag race.

I didn't run that day, because I knew Tom was! :lol

Tom lit up the crowd when he laid some rubber for more then 300 yards!

Tom time to sign up for the FGT only Mojave event! :biggrin

What did you do at Hennesey with your T/C?

I think I can improve upon this by tweaking the launch parameters from what I have learned in the past. Tom kicked my a** there! Not assactly, but his best time of the day beat edged out my best of the day and he only has a pulley and tune. There is no substitute for great driving! Note my slow shifting compared to when Roketman was driving. Roketman is the driver without the helmet and the one slipping the tires off the line, because he turned T/C off.

I believe Ed Sims had the fastest time at Hennessey's, Tom as 2nd and I was 3rd. I might have been last, or too scared to run without the T/C since the track is narrow and the concrete walls seemed very close for a novice drag racer.

Last 4 runs of the day were the best after I made some adjustments.

60' ET MPH

2.04 11.45 132.0

2.05 11.44 132.2

2.08 11.43 132.5

1.96 11.40 131.7
