Dan McKay GT mechanic at Kemp Ford in Westlake maintains both my GTs and just did the smog on my Heritage. They let me drive them in and out of the service bay. Ask for service advisor Trace, she will take care of you. Tell her JR sent you.

Just had my FGT done last weekend at West Valley Smog. They have the new California "Star Certification" process ( and equipment ) fully implemented for cars year 2000 and newer. Actual testing took only about 5 mins with no dyno and no gas cap vacuum integrity test ( wondered just how they would do that on our capless design?). No issues with X-pipe or pulley/tune. They were very careful with the car and treated it respectfully. They have two shops in Simi Valley servicing eastern Ventura and western Los Angeles ( San Fernando Valley) counties.

76 Station on Santa Monica east of Bundy 3 blocks. I have had all my cars done there. As long as you don't have a recently replaced battery or modifications that will make you fail for sure like changes in exhaust or converter issues. should pass easily.
