Should or Must do's for tracking GT.... + prep

I've got many weeks to fill for Scotts V2's to arrive so maybe I'll play around with camera locations in car around the streets for sound/view.

Think I'm going to take the GT out for a mid/solid run when I do and see how it holds up before I spend on improvements and so on (and if the track bug bites and I'm hooked)

If you want a good track car by a purpose built car for the track. Parts for the GT will only become hard to get and increasingly more expensive should you have an unfortunate incident

Yep.. 100% spot on.
I had a track car (BMW E36) but had less time back then (2002-06) then I do nowadays and not really sure why I got out of it (maybe the 4 kids in 6 years)

I think I just want to feel this 1st day out in the GT and do some spirited driving and see if I want to push it more.... if yes then I decide if I want any $$$ issues that come with Ricky Bobby speed at GT levels.

If my Mr Bobby is lit for speed maybe I go get a dedicated track car at whatever level you want to play at?

How much spirited driving does the trans like before its too hot, does it have a triggered limp mode function into the system?

WHat sort of MPG do you guys see on the track.

My bet is 5mpg?

Gas at Sebring track is $7.00 a gallon for 93 so bringing my own my be a good idea.

Please excuse my question, but are the fittings imperial or metric on the GT.
I think the wheel nuts are 21mm and remember that I didn't have any Merican sockets that would fit them?
I just don't remember what format I used when I did the Accufab exhaust

Whats a nice hot tire temp with the B/Stones ya think ....35lb ?

I think the range around this Forum for Bridgestones is start around 26 psi and incramentally go up as desired.

I was just under the car taking off the rear diffuser for a check up and noticed the two bolts under there are 10mm and the #25 Torx

Nice of Ford to do that for this metric man.

Great call, Scotts awesome, and has forgotten more that I will ever know about suspensions. You will greatly enjoy them especially on the street. Track is an added bonus.

My car will be getting the Ahlman treatment. It’s up at Rich’s currently, for a major refurb.
