Shadowman "Think Twice before Handing Your keys to?"

Just ask Todd (FGT Forum member) about his great experience with his wife's GT500 and infamous "donut-burning" valet! Long story short, the valet ended up plowing his car through a chain link fence!

And the valet sign always states: "we are not responsible for damage"

Advice on any restaurant worth dining at while driving the GT.
1. Call ahead and tell them of you car.
2. Tell them you'll park the car INSIGHT of front of restaurant.
3. If they disagree or argue, dine elsewhere.

Or drive your F150 instead.

Valet Parking

I usually call the hotel/restaurant and ask to speak to the concierge. I tell him that I’m stopping by for dinner with my GT and give him an approximate time. I let him know that I tip well but I need to park my own car and keep the keys. Every time I’ve done this I’ve had a prime parking spot saved for me when I arrive in front of the establishment.

It shows, you still drive like one! :lol

I have a 100% clean record as a valet:thumbsup but there were those couple of times:ack.......:lol

I like Leno's response to this question

"The Ford GT is not really a car you go anywhere in. You just take a nice ride and come back home"

Yep :thumbsup

Jeff's last nice ride: 6,960 miles. :wink

My last nice ride: 5,175 miles. :wink

Got to see all the Rally group along the way......

Doesn't get much better.......:cheers

:eek at some of these stories.

As a valet it angers me at the treatment of your cars. I've parked tons of cars several well over 100k a few at over 180k and a ton in the 50k range. if your car was $10 i would still treat it as a 10 million dollar car. no car i drive will EVER see rpms over 2k. the expensive ones i park in view of the owners and if they aren't comfortable with me parking it, i move the cones and they park it. I have never even thought of abusing or "testing" a car out. if i want to i will earn the $$$ for it buy it and beat it, but until then every car i valet is treated as a car that is worth more than my life....:lol i even had a local cop block a street off so i could park an S55 AMG without worry.

You can only teach people what to do, then it's up to them to actually do it...I consider it an honor to even sit in cars like I valet, most people never even get to touch the leather inside some of these cars. :eek
if any of you guys are ever in Huntsville, let me know and i'll save you a spot right up front so everyone can drool. I will even have my detailing specialist on standby:cheers
