Ed's GT in the mountains

I posted on this thread about my coast trip on the PCH with the "unleashed Beast" & now here's a drive in the opposite direction from where I live. I can't decide which roads I like better - the Pacific coastal & valley twisties with hills or the massive moutain twisties in the Sierras. It's motorcycle & car heaven both only 90 miles away.

The GT ran flawlessly at 8000 ft. It pulled like crazy on the steep climbs. I loved the roar as it echoed off the cliffs! Just as on my PCH drive there was very little traffic on Hwy 50 today (Monday). I love it. What a blast - thanks Shadowman!

The beginning of he month Ed and I went with the Viper club to Infineon raceway and I can tell you Ed's GT sounds amazing. We accelerated hard (not real crazy) from a stop light, I had my driver window open. It took two days for my left ear to feel normal again!

Here are the latest mods done to my GT by Shadowman. The Kip CF side scoops & CF side mirrors were painted except for the interiors. Subtle & cool. I love that Kip stuff. My hi-flo cats died at the Mojave Mile so the exhaust system was rebuilt this time utilizing Burns mufflers. Great sound but not any louder than before. I had the DA traction control refined for my throttle foot. My track wheels were painted in a gold color that reminds me of the original GT40 mags. They are actually the color of the F430 Scuderia. The Ford GT logo was silk screened back on the center caps. I'm taking it to a private GT track day next week at T-hill with Sandman, Raptor Guy, Shadowman, Triheart7, AlohaGT? & me.

The Burns mufflers are amazing. Super small but effective. They have mufflers for almost any applications & for our tight exhaust space they are perfect.

Shadowman added the Whipple CF inlet piece & modified the hose lengths so they would be symmetrical along with his supercharger badge swap. Also the MAF wiring harness is secured to the inlet to look totally OEM.

PS Next is the newly designed CF airbox cover!

Really like the way you painted the outside and left the inside CF on those pieces. Very tasteful. I got the Upgraded D/A supercharger badge too. I like that too! :thumbsup Maybe it is a west cost thing?
