Segway Boss dies on a Segway

Very sad. Said he went off a cliff. That could have happened driving a car or ridding a bike. Dont think it means a segway is dangerous.....
 
Statistically most accidents happen within 5 miles of a home.

That's because statistically you are most often within 5 miles from home!
 
That means homes are dangerous! We should all stay away from homes!
 
May he RIP....but that is just weird....The boss driving/riding his Segway off a 30ft cliff ????

Joey's barn is more than 5 miles from my home.....I am safe there.:thumbsup
 
I wonder if some sudden health/medical situation played a part - if it wasn't THEE cause? Given his age, who knows?

Very sad!

I have the same X-2 Segway and it's deceptively wide. The bulbous off-road tires stick out further than the mudguards. I've snagged them on several tree limbs, branches and masonary bits that sticks out just a few inches. I've been tossed off it a couple of times. I'd bet that is what happened. He was unlucky enough to be near a cliff. RIP.
 
Was it one of those TT Segways?
 
important to note he was not the inventor/founder; rather owner of company that purchased them months ago
