Dave, I am not sure if this info has been clearly defined (if it has I have missed in in the LONG often hijacked posts), I have seen several posts discussing what people think are the requirements for the different events, but I wanted to ask specifically what will be required to run either the road course and or the Mile event at the rally.

SA 2000 or better helmet, leather shoes, long sleeve shirt (cotton or fire retardant), Long pants (same fabric requirements of the shirt) are all for sure.

Installed hand held fire extinguisher? Is there a required mount, and or mounting location? Size?

Belts, what is REQUIRED, 4 point, 6 point? (FIA dated of course)

I did see a post that you found out that the GTX-1 with the targa roof is AOK.

Any other things I may have forgotten to cover?

Thanks, just want to avoid a September thrash to source parts if needed. Or worse show up at an event and not be able to run.

It's a NASA event so:

Helmet that meets SNELL M2000/SA2000
Fabric clothing covering arms/legs/torso with closed toe tennis shoes

And for the TM a 2 lb fire extinguisher secured within reach of the driver. They allow you to secure the fire extinguisher to the passenger seat belt, and we're working with Safecraft to get a number of extra fire extinguishers to swap in and out of cars for people that don't have their own.

Correctly installed OEM belts are an acceptable standard.

fire extinguisher

IF you have Shadowman's engine compartment installed (with sensors) fire suppressant system, is the additional fire extinguisher in passenger compartment for hand op still required?

The rules state "within reach of the driver". I will get back to you on that though.

Yes per Shannon at the Texas Mile the extinguisher has to be in reach.

Will there be helmets for use at the event similar to Rally III or do we need to purchase?

this is a minimum IMHO ... harness would be preferred but this will lock the driver down into the seat. Have used them in several cars with good results.
