Replacing brake pads

I started to replace my brake pads. I read that this disassembly procedure was required. Anyone know if I’m doing this correctly? Thx.

Of course! Makes sense. To remove the battery so so I don’t short out the caliper sensing circuit. Thx for saving my ass!
