Replace Car cover

After I purchased my FGT and trailered it home, I pulled the cover out of the GT's trunk and discovered it was soiled from someone putting tire shine on the rear tires and also discovered the Ford GT stencil on the side of the cover is peeling off. I bought it with 200 miles on it and as a second owner from a High-end Sports Car dealer in Miami, not from a Ford dealer.

Can you purchase a replacement cover from Ford? The GT Hotline couldn't find a part number for the cover. Also, was the cover supposed to come in a zippered bag?

Thanks for your help, Jer

It came in a zippered bag with Ford GT on the side. Replacement new is
about $600. Watch e-bay cause they show up there from time to time.

I couldn't agree more with Mark ... the OEM cover is a POS, however, I think you still want one and it's zip bag (to put away in storage) so that you have all the goodies and accessories your FGT came with from Wixom.

There are numerous suppliers that make a softer, lighter, perfectly fitting and less costly custom cut cover than Ford's. Coverking makes a really nice form fitting stretch satin cover for the FGT in various colors, including the dark blue I ordered. It was around $250 a year ago @ coverking.com. However, you should look around and buy the one that appeals to you and use that for winter or other longer term storage.

I like the OEM cover and use it all the time ..... that is on top of a much softer and more protective Dust Top cover made by Cal. Car Cover (thanks FL Chris). So I have the cool looking Ford GT cover for visual satisfaction and the CCC cover for protection. Take 'em off and put 'em back on just as if they were laminated together.

I love the factory cover bag. I have it used it for travel with the GT, as the perfect sized duffle bag...(Since you know it will fit in the front compartment.

Awsum, ask and you shall receive. Today there is a new listing on e-bay for a cover with bag in Springfield, MO. Sounds like a deal.
