Talking about pulling off old film, my 05 black with silver stripes GT film has been on for 15 yrs now. Back then was “ partial wrap”. Seeing some yellowing where wrap is over silver stripes.
Would like to remove and do entire wrap. And advice from those who have experience about how to remove old film?
Steam ,steam and some more steam.And. if that dont work try steam.

The good thing about steam is that you can’t overheat the film or paint underneath.

I guess i was just lucky. I peeled up a corner , applied a little heat with a heat gun and slowly peeled it off. I cleaned the gunk that accumulates at the edges and you'd never know it was there. It was in place for over 10 years and had turned yellow.

I must say the comment about poor paint adhesion on the new cars worries me. Maybe paint doesn't stick to carbon fiber as well as metal? 10 years from now I don't want to face problems when the film is removed.
