Rear defroster switch does not illuminate. Cause?

My rear defroster switch does not illuminate with the headlights turned on. All the other switches illuminate. What is the most likely cause?
It is a defective switch or a burned LED bulb? Is this a simple repair job? Thanks for all your help.

We've seen a few switches where the illumination has failed.
New part is around $70 part number 4G7Z-18C621-AA.
The switch is a plastic assembly not designed to be disassembled.

So the part number above is for a whole new switch? If I am able to get the part, is it easy to replace, i.e. DIY or do I have to bring it into the dealer?

Yes that's the part number for just that switch.

It's a fiddly thing to swap - you need to pull the lower dash panel and then it's a case of working with your head under the dash to get to the retaining nuts for the bracket that holds all of the switches in. They are mounted together then you can unclip the problem one and snap in an new one.

I think its called a dehumidifier in Hawaii (and Florida).
