Ralphie left Mammoth Lakes, California somewhere around the 13th of July. He is traveling East in the GT. Last I heard he was in Dayton Ohio at the Air Force Museum. Had the GT Guys makes some mods on his Red GT in Michigan, crossed the Mississippi some time ago. He is hooking up with PL510*Jeff then making it all the way to East Coast, Virginia etc. Maybe he'll see this post and drop us, (who have jobs), a note where he is? Even include pics if he can?

:wink

Doc leaving Seattle Tuesday. It's only a short 30 hour drive to Dearborn.

You work too much. Or is too often?

Hi guys -

Decided to come east to have Rich & Denis replace my windshield, install Scott Ahlman's new shocks, and do some needed maintenance on the GT. So, not a lot of sightseeing along the way. Stayed at Little America in Wyoming after 680 miles the 1st day -

The next day, I drove up throught Casper to Gillette, WY, then over to Wall, South Dakota (ever hear of Wall Drug!!) for dinner, and on to Chamberlain, S.D. on the Missouri R. for about 740 miles -

I posted the GT pictures at Road America in a previous thread,

http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?27340-Road-America

but also took a number of other photos. This one is of my friend Bert Skidmore of Reno, who flew out to drive a friend's McLaren M6B (small block version) -

That's my skiing pal Ralphie showing us Left Coasters what is out there in the East instead of just flying over it. Wish I was wingman with Ralphie and Jeff. Would be a great time.

On Friday, I drove down to Dayton, Ohio, to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, location of the National Museum of the Air Force. I can't begin to show all the planes, but here are a few pictures that seemed to take the weak lighting well -
