Thanks, Ron. I will miss you and the rest of the gang as well. I would be there if I could, but duty calls.

If you guys need any garage support during the rally, let me know. My uncle (who came with me to the Las Vegas rally) lives between Glen Ellen and Kenwood. I'm sure he would open up his barn/garage if any of the GTs needed any impromptu work.

Got my room booked just now for arriving on the 3rd and departing on the 7th. Wife agreed to join me this year so looking forward to doing all the fun events/drives. Seriously thinking about trailering my car out and then on the way back stop and see a few places we've not visited yet. Like Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. Any views on how easy it would be to find a hotel with place to park my truck and trailer while a short stay in both LV and the South Rim area? Other option is to just have the car trucked out, but with my Trailex trailer, towing the car seems to be fairly easy.

Too far to think about driving the GT out and have the wife ride along!

Frank -- I guess without a track day I won't have to worry about borrowing Blake's vacum at the Rally!

Perfect. Thank you Dave and Ed. Just realized Wednesday the 4th is my youngest daughters Bella's B-Day but we will probably celebrate the weekend before or after. I am not sure if I can take my son out of school that week but trying hard to convince my wife to come. Is everyone bringing spouses? She suggested shipping the car from LA but that is out of the question as my car needs the drive bad...

Gee Tee - Yes, bring the GT & the wife. There will be lots of things for wives to do if they aren't going in the GTs for the day.

Date change puts me out of the running. Already have a commitment for crossing the Sierras twice in 3 days those exact same dates. Sorry, sounds like a great time, haven't been to a Rally since Vegas, Ralphie has been beating on me to commit, but with the date change, conflicts prevent my participation. Don't forget the Oakville Grocery for lunch, would be a great photo surrounded by FGTs!

This means I won't have the opportunity to hassle Dr. F about his choice of the red color for his FGT, damn!

AtomicGT - I'm sorry the date change had to happen. We will miss you. I'll hassle Dr F for you!

Circus Circus, the Travelodge, and 'Best Value Inn are the only ones I know of that at least used to have RV parking. 'Haven't had any reason to check with them about that in years:

Professor Sims, the Red color is again affecting his thought process, I am trusting you as a profesisonal man, to make sure Dr F. has a good time. I'll sign-up Ralphie and Jeff to act as back up. These guys from the middle of the country can't handle California well. They get all excited when they see 13,000 ft mountains, gold country, coast line, wine country, etc. Need guidance and supervision!

Wife is still undecided ..... but I´ve tried to convince her that if there ever was a FGT Rally to attend for her, it is this one .... A SoCal to NorCal cruise combined with 4 days in wine country is something not to miss :thumbsup Do you plan on attending the Pre Rally?

... if she decides not to come, I´m sure I´ll end up having a good time anyway :wink

Forgive my newbness, but I have a few questions.

1. Looking for transport from Tulsa, OK to the event and back. Anyone know of any extra space on any trucks?

2. I was thinking about flying out with the wife on the 1st or 2nd. I've never shipped a car and met it someplace else. When should I shoot to have the car delivered if I can't hitch a ride with other cars? I assume schedule pick up on the 6th?

Do not think there will be a Scottsdale Pre Rally - so I´m hooking up with the group starting a Pre Rally from just North of LA - and then doing the trip up along the CA coast. That´s another "not to be missed" experience.
