Rally 12 Cooking Class

I could call this Track Tip #3 but in honesty the below described cooking class will be an alternative to the guys having fun with their cars at the track. The 5th Rally cooking class is BACK. So while the guys enjoy their time at the track remembering why they love their GT’s, the ladies can reunite in the kitchen, the Park City Culinary Institute school kitchen that is.

On Friday August 25, the ladies can sleep in and at 10:30 enjoy 4 hours of instructions, hands on cooking of a 4 course meal. All while sipping on wine or your favorite non-alcoholic beverage. The Park City Culinary Institute will provide the ladies with professional instructors along with all the recipes for the dishes we prepare. And we will get to eat this wonderful luncheon. The menu includes:

Golden Jubilee Peach Salad
Heirloom Tomato Salad
Grilled Root Vegetables
Harissa Lamb Ribs
Chocolate Panna Cotta

The cost of this year’s cooking class is $150.00 which is a reduction from the cooking fun we had at Rally 10 in Detroit. I have committed to the chef a party of 20 lucky ladies. There may be an opportunity to expand but it is uncertain at this time. So be one of the early birds to send in your checks to my wife Jennifer. Those of you long time attendees the address is the same as in years before. For new attendees send me a PM and I will get the mailing and email address out to you. If you have questions on the event, kindly direct them to Jen.

GTMD, Frank's answer is most correct. Each track can have slightly different rules but generally instructors and advanced skill drivers can take passengers along after the passenger signs the obligatory liability waiver paperwork and dons an approved helmet. We are going to see if intermediate drivers can do this as well. UMP will need to rule on that request but we will answer it for you.

If your wife really does want to spend the day at the track, I am sure she can go out with someone to get the track experience! Her choice- track or wine/food/girl stuff.....

Also note getting on cooking school "list" is the same for this extracurricular activity as DBK uses for the Rally registration. Just posting up you want to come is not sufficient. When we get the registration check your name will be added to the list. Same as it always has been. I will be away from home for a week or so, and will get all the attendees updated on the thread post as soon as I return. See you soon in Utah!!

Haha! My wife did as well but was really torn. She had a great time at the cooking class in Sonoma but the need for speed ultimately won her over.
