There have obviously been a lot of moving parts in Ford GT world this year. We've had an event at Daytona, a lot of people were at Laguna Seca, a boatload of GT owners went to Le Mans.
Luckily, things have worked out for Team Ford GT. It's always a risk to put on these events especially when the schedule is full, but due to overwhelming demand will be holding Ford GT Rally 11. I canvassed the "All-ten" members to make sure the late addition would not ruin their perfect attendance, so I won't have to call it something else. :biggrin
It will be in Austin, Texas integrated with the doubleheader IMSA/WEC race at Circuit of the Americas. I spoke with HF3, and he, Raj Nair, Dave Pericak, Mark Rushbrook, Chip Ganassi, etc are slated to be there for the doubleheader. Therefore we can do a bit of a celebratory Le Mans recap combined with our usual 05/06 GT revelry, some great driving in the area, and two races featuring all four Le Mans Ford GTs. We will have COTA parking for the Ford GTs, and that includes a COTA parade lap.
The race event dates are September 15-16-17. We will begin the proceedings the first day. That will put our event September 15-16-17-18. The only other note I will make at this time is that the Paddock Loft suite I have booked at Circuit of the Americas holds a limited amount of people, and thus, the event will be strictly capped at 150 attendees on a first-come first-serve basis.
