Yes, that is indeed what they claim.
I have a little background in detectors. My first job was at Escort detectors (then Cincinnati Microwave), initially as the Mechanical Engineer, later advancing to VP of product development and marketing after Valentine left the company and we went public. I led the teams in the 1980's that did the first Passport, the Escort DSP, the first Solo. All great products. I left for a while, and after CMI crashed and burned in the late 1990's, a partner and I relaunched it as Escort, introducing several new products to get the company back in the running. I stayed a few years, also developing the G-Timer, which was probably the best and coolest pre-GPS performance meter (0-to-60, 1/4 mile, lateral and longitudinal g-forces including dynamic friction circle, etc.).
Anyway............Radenso certainly makes some detectors that folks like, but their constant hype (for well over a year) for their "state-of-the-art technological breakthrough and best in the world" Theia reminds me of Professor Harold Hill. It's easy to rev up a lot of impressionable folks on the (astoundingly juvenile) radar detector forum, but I'd say basing a product's reputation solely on the manufacturer's claims and the enthusiasm of some folks to drink that particular kool-aid, seems a bit premature since the product, uh, doesn't currently actually exist.
Assuming the product eventually enters the marketplace, it will be obvious pretty quickly where its place lies in the detector food chain.
I currently use a V1G2, and running in the "L" mode, it is probably the quietest detector I've ever used.
