Racing a stunt plane and hanging out with jets for a great cause.

Two weeks ago my son and I were lucky enough participate in a local airshow. The company that usually provides exotic car rides to the public could not bring out enough cars for the event so we were asked if we could help out. We took my GT and R8 then spent two days hanging out with some very cool aircrafts and wonderful people. We managed to raise over $6k for a great local organization that helps troubled teens.

Here are few photos.

All very, very cool!

I gave some media rides at the Duluth air show this year in my L39. They were selling rides in a Lamborghini and a Ferrari. Looked like they were going pretty fast down the runway! Would have been fun to have the GT there!

What fun!

The company that sells rides to the public at airshows with a Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo is called Precision Exotics. They are a for profit company that sells rides or drives for $150. For the show we attended, they had a problem with the Gallardo and couldn't do the event without more cars. When they found out we were bringing four cars and that 100% of the money raised was going to charity, they offered to coordinate the event and include their Ferrari for free. Precision Exotics really stepped up and made the event amazing.

We had about 3500 feet of airstrip runway to reach 180mph in my GT, 170mph in my supercharged R8 and a little less in my friends Supertrofeo Gallardo before having to hit the brakes and slow down. I was shooting 2' flames on every 4 to 5 shift so the crowd nicknamed my GT the flamethrower. The GT was a big hit at the show.

All very, very cool!

That day sounds amazing!

Would love to have been able to get the GT out on the DLH runway (10,000 feet)!

You need to make some mancave posters from these pictures. Beautiful
