No problems with the FCC? My past experience tells me the cost of FCC testing would far outweight revenue let alone profits. Aren't regulations wonderful!

I would be interested in such a product.

Buy a Sennheiser wireless headset. That is exactly the technology used to charge the headset battery.

-Wizard, I took it apart a while ago because I was going make some changes to it, however my personal life got too busy so it's sitting in my lab.

-ICE, yes 13.56 MHz is an ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) which allows you to use very high power levels provided the harmonics are below (way below) a certain level. You're right about the FCC regulations, the approval cost would probably be a deal breaker... I have never dealt with trying to get this type of product approved, that is something that intentionally transmits a signal.

I also thought about using an intense light, infrared light (IR) from some high power LED's or a laser diode. There again, if you use a laser diode, you would never get it approved. The efficiency would be very low, probably around 10-15%.
