That is the paradox of cars and traction. If you can't spin the tires you don't have enough power. If you spin the tires you have too much power. I don't have enough experience driving the Whipple yet, but can say it doesn't have enough power in 3rd to 6th, 2nd is maybe just right and in 1st you have more than enough.

:thumbsup

Why does this quote conjure up visions of a certain GT "dirt tracking" around a corner at Thunder Hill? "In what gear do you know..." :biggrin:lol:cheers

I believe you are referring to a forum member..but if memory serves...Mr. Donohue was discussing his Porsche 917 CanAm racer back in '72/'73 in this quote.

I love that quote:thumbsup, but like Kumar said , she's sure hard to drive fast that way.

Torrie has it right in his banner.

"Horsepower is not the problem, traction is"

Great Numbers BlackICE !. "Smoke Em' if you got em'":banana.

Thanks for all the cool and helpful posts and pics throughout your build. The heat shield solution will come in real handy in the next couple weeks.

Have a great time at Thunder Hill. If second is just right and 3rd is OK then you should have a great run.
