Seeing @Redfire03 's 100 year anniversary pictures had me checking my files and I have saved several pictures, (mostly from other members here) of the prototype cars. Might be a good time to start a thread to share these. Hopefully others have some we haven't seen before.

That exhaust on the yellow one is very cool. I prefer not polished, but soooo nice to look at.

The headers, the flush glass, The side view mirrors, the wheels and Raised White Letter tires and every thing in the interior are features I wish carried over.

But if could only pick one feature, it would be the headlights and fog lamps. I know that's 2 but I will call it front lighting.

I am still grateful they made the cars because when the prototypes were making their splash, I was sure production was never going to happen.

When I look at these pics, like this one, which to me just screams ** Prototype Only ** it's still amazing the car was actually made

Up until this point, I believed that the Mustang was going to be the ultimate sports car out of Ford. (actually a Pony Car).

And I was OK with that. For decades they had been supporting racers and Hot Rodders out of their SVO department and for that I was thankful. I have used nothing but stout Ford engines for all my boats, trucks and Mustangs.

I had read many times over the years that they weren't going to build another Cobra or a Corvette competitor, so when they actually produced a Ferrari competitor, with heritage galore, I was beside myself. I knew I would do anything to make ownership a reality.

They're deep dish ... too deep to fit the hubs Ford ended up installing, and that was by design ... Camilo explains starting at 14:38

I saw the red car at All Ford Carlisle in building T. My favorite car since the first grade when my mom gave me the white and blue matchbox. Fascinated with the engine in back with glass to see it. My buddies at the show gave me crap for three days as I talked about that car. Came home, tried to order one after Congress approved (tentatively she now says). Got outbid on my order, watched my order get changed, then the big mouth bidders didn’t pony up later. Saw that car get the A-arm recall at the dealership. Order had been changed to all black. Dealer then repetitively offered it to me. Nope, wrong color. Ultimately got the red then a Heritage for my son. Saw that one built at Saleen SSV. Met Camilo at his downtown Detroit studio. Every single time I take a drive I still can’t believe it. Simply awesome car.
